The Road Home

To travel the path in front of us, no matter how long, it just takes one simple step and repeat.

I come to my solitary woodland walk as the homesick go home. I thus dispose of the superfluous and see things as they are, grand and beautiful.

I pass this walking bridge every day on my way to and from work. Sometimes in the dark some times in perfect golden light some times in flat light. I made myself stop and take some pictures. The evening sun lent itself to long shadows through the bridge itself and through the now barren fall trees. To me this just cried out black and white as it seems like a nice walk in the woods just takes you back in time to when things were simpler and more peaceful.
