Nature broke out her artists palette.
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
― Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds
Just another amazing sunset. The funny thing about this one is it wasn’t what I was told to go photograph, well kinda. I was sitting here going through and editing pictures that I had just taken when my wife walked in and told me the sunset was beautiful. So I grabbed my camera, put on my lens I use for landscape, put my polarizing filter on to saturate the colors better and outside I went. I worked trying to get the right angle and composition that captured all the colors, the silhouette of the trees, and minimal portions of my neighbors house. A few clicks, a few adjustments to exposure, and a little editing and viola. I called my wife in and proudly displayed my art work and in her confused look she said “where is all the pink?” I replied “There was no pink these are the colors I saw, this is the beautiful colorful sunset you sent me out to get pictures of”. Well apparently not. In the time it took me to get my stuff ready the sky turned from a pink to a golden orange. Who knew if I had been sooner I could have got multiple pictures with multiple colors of sunset in the same night.
