These little guys, as plentiful as they are, are very hard to photograph. They are skittish, shy, and don’t sit still for very long. The common mythology about cardinals is that they are visitors from loved ones we have lost. That someone that has passed is coming back to visit and say its ok. They have a special place around our house and we keep the feeders filled to keep them happy. I wonder where the stories began about these little messengers from beyond. I’m not sure but  I do know that you can’t sit and watch these guys without it bringing a smile to your face. Thanks little red bird.
