“When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber.”
― Winston S. Churchill
These are not the best pictures ever, not of mine, not of eagles, or just not. But the point of posting them is just to show why you inspect your pictures and don’t just delete them. So what we see above is an eagle sitting on a nest. Its a little soft and not a lot of detail, especially in the eagle itself. And this is why.
“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”
― Marcus Aurelius
I took a ride out to a local lake and check out the eagles nest there to see if there was any activity going on. This is the, as zoomed in as I can get, uncropped image of the nest. I just wanted to take a shot for perspective. I couldn’t see anything in it in the field, just taking a picture of the nest. When I loaded it up on the computer and zoomed it in to full size what do I see but a little white head poking out. So I cropped, and cropped and cropped some more and got images, good enough for the web, of the eagle. Would I try to print these – no, would I submit them for a contest – no, would I even brag about them – probably not. But will I use them to show that you need to check your pictures close because you may have got something you didn’t know was there – you betcha
