These heavy mooring chains embedded on the concrete on the riverfront kind of impressed me. Where these are is usually under water but the river I was down at this time.
I can just imagine the barges and their loads straining against these thick heavy thick forged steel under water work horses.
The shadows from the sun that these iron giants rarely see. It will just be a matter of time before the river comes back up and these heavy metal minions go silently back to work.
Completely unrelated was a beach chicken that flew by and I got a pretty good shot of it.
‘Fortune is an evil chain to the body and a vice to the soul.
