My current temporary slightly immobilized state (that’s a lot of adverbs) has me looking at every new opportunity to use my camera. While getting ready to make some dinner I noticed these two on a tree in my back yard. I started by taking awful pictures through the window (you will not see those here) and then gently opened my back door and stuck my lens outside. I was able to watch, take pictures and video of these two for over half an hour. You can find the video on YouTube here:  Woodpeckers. Up front my apologies the video is shaky and sometimes out of focus as this was the first time I have ever taken video with my DSLR. These were my favorite two pictures from the whole event. It was just fun to watch these two “dance” around this tree and taking the occasional swipe at one another.
